WANDERIE FLORAL STUDIO BLOG

From Neutrals to a Full Bloom of Color

Laila & Jeff at The Homestead

When Laila first reached out, she envisioned a wedding filled with soft neutrals – subtle, elegant, understated. But as many creative journeys go, her vision evolved, layer by layer, until what emerged was a colorful, joy-filled celebration that reflected both her heart and her artistry.

The transformation began with a hint of peach. Then came a crush on blue. And by the time we took our flower market trip together – a personal offering I love sharing with my couples – Laila was all in on color. We added cheerful pinks, a few vibrant oranges, and built a palette that felt like spring had arrived just for them.

The result? A fresh, expressive wedding filled with color and texture, set against the romantic backdrop of The Homestead in Willis.

Laila and Jeff are high school sweethearts, and their wedding felt like a sweet reflection of their shared history—personal, handmade, and full of meaning. Laila designed every piece of paper for the big day: the welcome sign, menus, table numbers, seating chart, invitations—you name it. And she didn’t stop there. She fell so in love with the process, she turned it into a business. Everdew Atelier was born, helping other couples create beautiful, personalized paper goods for their own weddings.

There’s something really special about witnessing someone fall in love not just with their partner (again), but with their own creativity along the way.

We were honored to flower for a wedding that was so representative of the couple and it was our absolute pleasure to make new friends along the way!

Whether you’re starting with a neutral vision or a full color explosion, we love helping you discover what feels most you. Let’s make something beautiful together.
