I come from a long line of green thumbs – both of my grandmothers and my mom filled their lives with gardens and flowers. Growing up, the garden was my sanctuary, the place I felt most at peace.
I even started college as a Botany major – until I realized I didn’t want plants to be my job… I wanted them to stay my joy. So I switched to fine art, thinking that was the path. Turns out, floral design lets me have both: a life rooted in color, creativity, and the natural world. And the fact that I get to make a living doing something that ties it all together? That still blows me away.
Honestly? A glass (or two) of wine and a craving for a word that captured exactly how I want
flowers to make people feel.
To me, it sparks curiosity and charm—maybe even feels a little romantic, like a slow walk through an English garden… if that garden had a sense of humor and a killer outfit.
I’ve never loved the word whimsical. It feels too airy, too precious. My work is for the unconventional, the offbeat, the delightfully eccentric. I’d call it purposefully different – designed for clients with great taste and strong opinions.
My favorite kind of brief? Moody neon. Gothic Baroque garden. Something with a vibe and the trust to
let me run with it.
Every new Houston wedding floral client is like a celebrity to us, we listen intently and gather all their inspirations through meetings, phone calls, and emails. We pride ourselves on open communication and really “getting the vision.” I often meet clients at the flower market to let them pick out their favorite colors and flowers; plus enjoy the magic that is the flower market. We create each proposal specifically for each client and tailor it to their needs, no 2 will ever be alike. I feel like I’m a combination of things I find most florists don’t achieve easily. I take into consideration what they like aesthetically, cost, and my artistic background to create a cohesive look that vibes for each of my brides.
I love the pressure of a wedding day..it’s what drives my perfection. I love animals, I’m an enneagram 4. I love love, which is cheesy but true. People often tell me they can hear my laugh across a space before they see me. I love trivia, a hazy IPA and board games. I was a high school art teacher, then a 911 dispatcher which I think is why I’m so calm under pressure and good at multitasking.
